Overture is in the Top 5% for 2024 EPD's with MSL (4.61) and Fleece Weight (5.65), with Fineness measures in the top 10%, an excellent balance of traits, along with Density.
Overture is tied with his uncle Eldora's Accoyo Talent by Rockstar, for the top density score on the farm at 71 Follicles/SQ MM (all Suri avg 51.8). His S/P ratio is 11.7 to 1 (all suri avg 10.3 to 1) and AFD is 22.27 (all Suri avg 22.1). His 2024 fleece is outstanding in luster, fineness and weight. The photo does not do it justice!
Overture's juvie fleece won the Light Color Championship, a 1st place ribbon and an Advanced Fleece Award with a score of 84.5 at the 2022 AOA National Fleece show! AOA Judge's comments noted "superior fineness integrated in an attractive even layered lock with high degree of luster".
Overture was also awarded AOA's 2023 National Fleece High Point Suri Male, tied for ninth place. What an honor!
This same fleece also won a Grand Champion ribbon in the Alpaca Fleece Competition with a score of 87 at the Kentucky Sheep & Festival in 2023!
Overture's 11 month histogram shows Fineness (AFD) at 18.7 microns, Uniformity (SD) at 3.8 and Comfort Factor at 99.2! This combination of Tempo (Rockstar) and China (Electrofyre) has now produced two excellent offspring, Overture and his full sibling 2 Point Farm's Lyric by Tempo.
Overture's sire, Tempo is a proven champion producer with 1% EPDs for the last five years. His top show awards including 1st Place at the 2021 and 2017 Suri Network Fleece Show for Get of Sire, and multiple Judges Choice, Spirit of the Industry and Best Lock awards. As of Fall 2020, 70% of Tempo offspring that have been shown are Champions/Reserve Champions and/or Judge's Choice, Blue Ribbon and Best Award winners! Importantly, 100% of offspring with reported EPDs are in the Top 2-5%!
Overture's Dam is Eldora's Accoyo China Doll, an Electrofyre daughter. She is a maternal sister to multiple Champion and Judge's Choice winner Eldora's Accoyo Maestro. At 11 months of age, China's first show fleece weighed in at 5.2# annualized, earning a full 15 out of 15 points on the fleece show scorecard and the judge's written comment "Tremendous fiber factory! " In addition, China presents a well organized consistent lock structure combined with fineness and luster on a well covered typey body and head.
